POST: Administrative Clerk

DIRECTORATE: Infrastructure Development, Facilities, and Maintenance

SALARY: R176 310.00 plus 37% in lieu of benefits

DURATION: 3 Year Fixed Term Contract

Requirements: Applicants must be in possession of a Grade 12 Certificate. At least a National Certificate / Diploma in Public Administration. A certificate in Project Management or Facilities Management will be an added advantage. 2 years of experience in the administration of infrastructure and maintenance projects. 

 

Competencies, Abilities, and Skills: Computer literacy, interpersonal skills, organizing and planning skills, communication skills (written and verbal), analytical skills, problem-solving skills, and financial management skills. Customer care services. Knowledge of risk management principles, project scheduling, project management, and facilities management.

 

Duties: Provide infrastructure and maintenance clerical support services within the component. Prepare for internal and external meetings. Minute taking, report writing, updating, and modifying of records. Keep and maintain the project filling system. Update project registers and statistics. Communicates to relevant role players and follow up on progress made. Liaise with internal and external stakeholders in relation to the procurement of Departmental goods and services. Ensure the effective flow of information and documents to and from the infrastructure office to Central Office staff and Campuses. Handle routine inquiries from contractors. Capture and update project-related expenditures in the component.
