CALL FOR APPLICATIONS TO SERVE AS ADDITIONAL COLLEGE COUNCIL MEMBERS AT TSHWANE NORTH TVET COLLEGE
Tshwane North Technical and Vocational Education and Training College is a public college, operating in terms of the Continuing Education and Training (CET) Act, Act 16 of 2006 (as amended from time to time), under the auspices of the Department of Higher Education and Training (DHET). The college consists of seven (07) delivery sites and a Central Office located in the Tshwane Metropolis.
The College hereby invites suitably qualified and experienced persons with a good understanding of the CET Act, the functioning of Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) Colleges and the importance of partnerships between TVETs and Industry to serve as the four (04) additional external members to the College Council as required in terms of section 10(6) of the CET Act. The term of office is five years and remuneration shall be in accordance with the relevant Treasury Directives and the DHET Circulars.
The skills, experience, and qualifications necessary for consideration for the said positions are a blend of: Financial Management, Auditing, Risk Management, Human Resource Management, Computer Science (IT Governance), Commercial Law, Strategic Management and Corporate Governance. Postgraduate qualification in the aforesaid fields and proven experience working in governance structures in the public sector will be an added advantage. Candidates residing within Pretoria will be given preference.

Applicants will be subjected to a vetting process. The College reserves the right not to appoint.
