REQUIREMENTS: A National Diploma in Computer Science OR equivalent qualification. A registration as a constituent assessor and moderator with MICTSETA on National Certificate: Information Technology: End User Computing NQF Level 3. Experience as Assessor & Moderator for End User Computing (SAQA QUAL ID: 61591).
DUTIES AS THE MODERATOR:
• Moderate the assessment process,
• Advice and support facilitators and assessors,
• Maintain and monitor arrangements or processing assessment information,
• Moderate assessment practice,
• Moderate assessment instruments,
• Moderate learner’s portfolio of evidence,
• To ensure that assessments are consistent with the ETDP SETA ETQA and Premier Recruitment and Training standard,
• Ensure that assessment tools are effective, efficient and can be implemented in a cost effective manner,
•To ensure that assessments are fair and valid,
• To ensure that assessors are making consistent judgments (reliability),
• To ensure that sufficient evidence is used to make decisions,
• To ensure that system improvement is ongoing.
• Not intentionally communicate false or misleading information that may compromise the integrity of any assessment,
• Keep relationships with candidates and Tshwane TVET College on a professional basis,
• Keep information on Tshwane TVET College and procedures gained during the assessment process, confidential,
• Keep information about individual candidates and their organization, confidential,
• Keep his/her assessor registration with MICT SETA up to date and apply for re registration two months before it expires.
•Inform Tshwane TVET College in confidence whether the moderator has:
- A family (past or present) relationship with any of the candidates.
- Difficulty in assessing a candidate objectively because of friendship or other obligation.
- A conflict of interest involving candidates or other relevant parties.
APPLICATIONS: Applications must be submitted on the fully completed new Z83 form obtainable from any Public Service Department, and MUST include a comprehensive Curriculum Vitae, copies of qualifications, transcript of the highest qualification, ID and driver’s license. All required documents need not be certified when applying for a post, only shortlisted candidates for the post will be required to submit certified documents on or before the day of the interview following communication from HR.
