POST:  Lecturer PL1 (Communication & Information Processing)

SALARY:   R244 884 plus 37% in lieu of benefits

REQUIREMENTS:  

Matric certificate plus a recognized M+3 Qualification (National Diploma / Bachelor’s Degree) in Education with Information Processing and Communication as a major. Computer Literacy will be an added advantage. Must have SACE registration. Assessor and Moderator Certificates will be added advantages. Knowledge of legislation governing the TVET sector should be key.

DUTIES:  

The Lecturer will be responsible for teaching and supervising students in the class and ensuring the effective functioning of the department by organizing relevant curricular activities

● Be responsible for learning area or phase and education of students to be promoted in an acceptable manner 

●Prepare lessons; assess; mark and record attainment of the student’s work as well as management of students attendance 

● Assist with planning and management of textbooks and LTSM 

● Must be familiar with both report 191 and NCV programmes 

● Organize experiential learning; excursions and support intervention for students 

● Report and account for students performance in the programme(s)

● Perform other relevant duties within the ambit of teaching and learning.
