DATABASE DEVELOPMENT FOR QUALIFIED ARTISANS
Centre: TNC Campuses

Applications are invited to suitably qualified retired / unemployed artisans to register on the College Database. Qualified Artisans are sought from time to time to facilitate training for Apprenticeship, Occupational, learnership and Skills Programmes.

REQUIREMENTS: 

N3/N6 with a Red Seal Trade Test Certificate. 3 year’s industry experience and assessor training in the following trades:
Plumbing; Electrical; Panel Beating and Spray Painting, Fitting and Turning; Fitting and Machining, Fabrication and Boiler Making; Welding and Millwright; Bricklaying; Carpentry and Cabinet Making; Airconditioning and Refrigeration.

DUTIES: 

Facilitate training for occupational and skills programmes. Promote quality training and development. Monitor trainee performance. Lesson planning and preparation. Provide academic support to trainees. Conduct practical training. 

Create an environment that is conducive to training and development. Render administration duties. Keep and maintain trainee documents and attendance records. Capture trainee attendance and marks on relevant database. 

Maintaining records of curriculum and materials. Gathering feedback on the quality of trainings from trainees. Measure outcomes from trainings. Oversees the management of consumables required for training and ensures availability.  Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) identification and implementation, Manage in-house training schedules and disciplined timekeeping.  

Monitor processes, systems, and schedules. Evaluate potential hazards and recommend controls. Ensuring safety, as well as maintenance of small equipment. Predicting requirements and stock keeping of consumables. Procurement planning and management. Keeping stock records.  Implement tasks in terms of the project plan. Close out report.
