MARKETING OFFICER
Nature of Appointment: Permanent 
Salary: R290 901 per annum (Level 07) plus benefits

REQUIREMENTS: 

Senior Certificate or equivalent plus a Diploma/Degree in Marketing/Communication/Public Relations or related field. At least 3 years reputable experience in marketing and communication, customer relations, networking and stakeholder engagement, and public relations. Sound knowledge and understanding of the TVET sector is recommended. Computer Competence (MS Word, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint). Valid Driver’s Licence. The incumbent must be willing to travel, work irregular hours and be committed to meet deadlines within tight timeframes.

DUTIES: 

Compilation of advertising strategy and arranging advertising campaigns for the college. Liaise with advertising agencies and facilitate advertising material, prepare write-up briefs, approve designs, manage advertising process from inception until implementation. 

Research and generate press releases articles, editorials etc. Seek effective and affordable media coverage opportunities and implementation. 

Identification and placement of all print, radio and publication material. Networking with the advertising industry. Develop visual marketing material. Proof reading and editing of external publications, articles etc. 

Coordinate all college communication and public relations activities. Organise major events for the college: Awards Ceremony, Open Days, Awareness Campaigns, Business Breakfast etc. Coordinate launches, community projects, outreach projects etc. 

Engage in industry-liaison-college collaboration activities. Facilitate the conceptualisation, planning and execution of college fundraising initiatives.
