Marvel Tladi: From Unemployed Graduate to Entrepreneurial Success

In February 2023, Marvel Tladi an unemployed graduate took a bold step by selling fruits and snacks outside the Tshwane North TVET College gate. A month later, she enrolled as a student at the college embarking on a journey that transformed her life.

The 27-year-old Marvel is a Cosmetology graduate pursuing an advanced qualification in Beauty Therapy with ambitions of owning a luxury beauty spa. Passionate about beauty from a young age, she founded Nardieaesthetics, a mobile beauty spa offering massages, waxing, manicures, pedicures, makeup artistry, and facial treatments. Recently she launched a line of body scrubs for different skin types with more products in development.

Marvel is not only a beauty influencer and fashion model but also an independent musician. Her talent was recognized when she placed second in the College’s 2023 Arts & Music Competition. Through collaborations with international skincare and local clothing brands, Marvel is building her brand while continuing to grow her business.

Reflecting on her journey, Marvel shares, “This institution has introduced me to an enthusiastic version of myself. A version that works hard, a big brand. I am a big brand, a brand that cares about its clientele. For that, I am proud to announce that I am the founder and CEO of a mobile beauty spa, Nardieaesthetics.”

She credits her lecturers Mrs. Dames, Mrs. Eynon, and Mrs. Fourie for their support, and her family for their unwavering belief in her dreams.

Today, Marvel is proud to call herself a young thriving entrepreneur dedicated to creating jobs and inspiring others to pursue their passions.
