Requirements: Matric certificate/NCV L4 plus an appropriate M+3 Qualification (National Diploma/Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering and Building Construction) plus Plumbing Trade Test. Computer Literacy in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook). 1 year Facilitating experience in Plumbing will be an added advantage. Assessor/Moderator and Teaching professional qualifications will be an added advantage, Knowledge of Legislation governing the sector.

Duties: Facilitate the Occupational Certificate: Plumber Programme in accordance with the approved curriculum and College requirements. Prepare lesson plans, learning material, practical activities and assessment instruments. Conduct theoretical, practical training and monitoring of students at the workplace  in plumbing and ensure that learners comply with occupational health and safety requirements. Ensure the correct use of plumbing tools, equipment, consumables and personal protective equipment (PPE). Assess students, maintain assessment records, and capture marks electronically in compliance with the College’s policies and procedures. Create a conducive classroom and workshop environment and ensure efficient classroom management and discipline of students is always maintained. Report to the Senior Lecturer/Programme Manager and liaise with the Student Support Officers in providing support interventions for students. Distribute textbooks/learner material and student packs to students and maintain the necessary records. Manage and monitor students’ attendance. Invigilate internal and external examinations. Participate in student extra-curricular activities and promote their holistic development. Embrace the use of the Learning Management System (LMS).
