REQUIREMENTS: An appropriate Matric certificate plus a three (3)-years Degree or National Diploma (REQV 13 or equivalent) Cosmetology. Minimum of 1-2 years practical experience in assessing learners in Cosmetology. Demonstrated ability to assess against unit standards or qualifications aligned with Service SETA. Must be registered as a constituent Moderator with Services SETA for the relevant qualification. Applicants must hold a recognised Qualification in Cosmetology.
DUTIES: Ensure assessment tools are fair, valid, reliable, and aligned with SETA standards. Evaluate learner’s performance and evidence e.g. POE’s, practical tasks, written tests. Provide detailed, and constructive feedback to learners on their assessment results. Guide learners on areas needing improvement and manage re-assessment if required. Verify that learners deemed competent have met all requirements. Complete and submit a Moderation Report to the provider. Ensure compliance with the SETA moderation policies and procedures. Identify and address any non-compliance or irregularities.
