Tshwane North Technical & Vocational Education & Training (TVET) College is a public college established by the Continuing Education and Training (CET) Act (No. 16 of 2006 – as amended). The College operates under the auspices of the Department of Higher Education & Training and has its Central Office located at Cnr. Kgoši Mampuru & Pretorius Streets in Pretoria.
The Tshwane North TVET College Council has one vacancy and hereby invites suitably qualified and experienced professionals in the field of Information and Communication Technology (ICT) with a good understanding of the CET Act, the functioning of TVET Colleges, and the importance of partnerships between TVETs and industry to express their interest in serving as an additional member of the council.
The term of office will be aligned with that of the college council currently in office. The primary role of the council is to define the strategic direction of the college, mobilise the necessary resources to support the strategic direction of the college, and approve a range of policies and other strategic documents to ensure that the college attains its strategic imperatives.
Key Requirements:
Qualifications: an NQF 7 qualification in ICT. Postgraduate qualification in ICT, advanced certificates in ICT, experience, or knowledge of the TVET sector, and registrations with the relevant professional bodies will be an added advantage. Experience: 03 years of previous IT governance experience in the Public Sector. Critical skills and attributes: knowledge and experience in IT Governance, IT Strategy, IT-related risks, IT compliance, and the efficient management of IT resources.
Remuneration: compensation for meetings attended shall be in accordance with rates as determined by the National Treasury.
