POST: Facilitator: Occupational Programme – ECDP Level 4 - 5

Requirements: Matric Certificate plus an appropriate M+3 qualification (National Diploma/Bachelor’s degree) in Early Childhood Development / Foundation Phase plus a relevant teaching qualification. Computer Literacy in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Power point, Outlook). SACE registration. Sound understanding of National Curriculum Framework (NCF) and QCTO Occupational standards. Excellent communication and classroom management capabilities. Assessor and Moderator qualification. Knowledge of legislation governing the Occupational Programmes.
Duties: Deliver and facilitate training for the ECD NQF Level 4 Occupational Curriculum. • Guide students through theoretical modules and practical workplace tasks. • Support learners in compiling their Portfolios of Evidence (PoE). • Conduct formative assessments and prepare students for External Integrated Summative Assessments (EISA). • Monitor student progress and attendance. Monitor students in the workplace and assist in completing the workplace experiential logbook.
Administration: Setting of assessment tasks. Conduct assessment of students in both Knowledge and Practical Modules. Record and account for student performance in the programme. Classroom management and supervision. Ensure a conducive teaching and learning culture and environment. Apply appropriate and effective measures in cases of student discipline. Perform other relevant duties within the ambit of teaching and learning by setting maintenance of professional ethics, motivation and punctuality.
