EXTERNAL MODERATOR: FOOD AND BEVERAGES SERVICES
TARIFF PER HOUR: R451.60 plus SMT

DURATION: AUGUST 2025
REQUIREMENTS: Minimum of 2–3 years practical experience in moderating learners in the food and beverage Services level 4. Demonstrated ability to moderate against unit standards or qualifications aligned
with CATHSSETA. Must be registered as a constituent moderator with CATHSSETA for the relevant qualification. Applicants must hold a recognised Diploma in Food and Beverage Services or Hospitality.
DUTIES: Ensure moderation tools are fair, valid, reliable, and aligned with CATHSSETA standards. Evaluate learner’s performance and evidence e.g., POE’s, practical tasks, and written tests. Provide detailed, and constructive feedback to learners on their assessment results. Guide learners on areas needing improvement. Verify that learners deemed competent have met all requirements. Complete and submit an External Moderation Report to the provider and/or CATHSSETA Ensure compliance with the QCTO/CATHSSETA assessment policies and procedures. Identify and address any non-compliance or irregularities.
