Tshwane North TVET Students Crowned Winners at National Entrepreneurship Inter-College Finals
Two students from Tshwane North TVET College have made history by winning top honours at the Allan Gray Entrepreneurship Inter-College National Finals, held on 5 September 2025 at Birchwood Hotel.
Oratile Sebanyoni (Pretoria Campus) and Lerato Tladi (Soshanguve North Campus) competed against studentpreneurs from across South Africa, pitching their ideas in front of expert judges. Their exceptional performance earned them first place in their respective categories:
· I Have a Business Idea – Oratile Sebanyoni
· I Have a Trade Business – Lerato Tladi
The journey to nationals was a tough one. Alongside fellow students, they began at the internal rounds in July, advanced through the regional round in August at South West Gauteng TVET College, Molapo Campus, and finally secured their place on the national stage.
The Allan Gray Inter-College Challenge run by Allan Gray Makers in partnership with DHET, SAPCO, Future Manager, Inspire, Absa and SABFoundation, gives TVET students the opportunity to pitch their ideas and existing businesses, gain mentorship, and access networks that can help them grow beyond the classroom.
This victory marks a significant achievement for both the students and the college, showcasing the vital role TVET institutions play in nurturing entrepreneurship and building South Africa’s future business leaders.
